Hans J. Wegner, a very rare pp512 folding chair in teak (2010s)
This extremely rare folding chair was designed by Hans Wegner in 1949 and first showcased at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers’ Guild Exhibition. Over its 75-year production history, the initial model was crafted by Johannes Hansen, with production later continued by PP Møbler. The commercially available models are typically made of oak and ash. This particular piece, released by a Danish furniture collector and acquired by GFG, is believed to be the only known version in teak, complete with a matching teak hook. The seat is woven with the standard cane material. Produced around the 2010s by PP Møbler, Denmark, it bears a brand mark and measures W61 x D74 x H75 x SH39 cm, with a folded length of 99 cm.
