A V-leg float back office chair in teak, designed by Pierre Jeanneret circa 1955-56 for Chandigarh, India. The wooden frame highly patinated. Seat and back re-woven with new cane. Marked H.A.F.E.D/54 on the right hand side. Made circa 1960s for HAFED (Apex Cooperative Federation of the State of Haryana) located in Sector-7c of Chandigarh. HAFED is an organization that supplies fertilizers, pesticides, & certified seeds to local farmers and processes & sells their agricultural products.
